WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Mathew 1:21).

Yes, he came to this world for our sins.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. (1 John 4:9).

But it was for our sins he was wounded, and for our evil doings he was crushed: he took the punishment by which we have peace, and by his wounds we are made well.

We all went wandering like sheep; going every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put on him the punishment of us all. (Isaiah 53: 5, 6).

Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the Law of Moses. (Acts 13:38, 39).

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9).

In the BIBLE, We can read (Philippians 2:9-11) that JESUS has the name above all names: GOD gave exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of JESUS every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that JESUS CHRIST is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father.”

GOD himself told, "And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Mark 1:11)

Apostle John telling, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD.” (John 1:1) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” This clearly indicates that JESUS is GOD in the flesh. (John 1:14)

Thomas the disciple declared to Jesus, “My LORD and my GOD” (John 20:28).

The apostle Paul describes Him as, “…our great GOD and Savior, JESUS CHRIST” (Titus 2:13).

The apostle Peter says the same, “…our GOD and Savior JESUS CHRIST” (2 Peter 1:1).

"JESUS himself proving He said to [His disciples], "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the CHRIST, the Son of the living GOD." JESUS answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven."(Mathew 16:15-16)

GOD the Father is witness of JESUS’ full identity as well, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O GOD, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom". (Hebrew 1:8)

Old Testament prophecies of CHRIST announce His deity, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
